Camera Raw 17 screws up profile

I was just upgraded to CR 17 and when I gotoopen any file I get an error that says the file is using an invalid profile and if I ignore the error I get a grayscale image. I am stopped dead on my project. I don't know how to revert to the earlier version. How do I get out of this?

Apparently the cloud automatically updated CR and not Photoshop. Once I manually upgraded Photoshop, it seems to be working properly. That was a weird one. The new CR 17 does not seem to be very backwards compatible.
