Camera Raw crash when opening smart object

I have a PSD file with some layers. At the top is a hidden group of layers. The first visible layer is an smart object.

 

If I try to open the smart object with Camera Raw, Camera Raw and PS crashes 😞

If I delete the hidden group an open than the smart object with Camera Raw, everything is working fine 🙂

The error is reproduceable! I attachted to videos. One with the crash an one were everything is working fine.

I'm using PS v24.2 and CR v15.2

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

 

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s?  Apple’s?

Try resetting the Camera Raw preferences:
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (macOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"
