Camera RAW crop tool clunky

HELP!

what's happened to ACR? the crop tool is so clunky and unintuitive, even worse trying to crop a few selected images at the same time, it jumps all over the place.  I'm using a fast card, plenty of RAM, every other program works fine 😞  This is really messing up my workflow. I've tried persevering with the new ACR upgrade and I thought I was getting the best of it but then the goalposts keep shifting with all the upgrades. As a side when I try to exit photoshop it takes an age to close down.

Anyone else having problems?
