camera raw display issues in Mac OS updates

i have updated my mac os (to 15.6.1) and now camera raw will not display correctly, thus it is unusable for editing a raw file as it is impossible to see what is being adjusted. how can i clear this bug? so far i have uninstalled all the apps that use camera raw but cant find a way to uninstall camera raw itself. no change. i think i am going to have to wipe the boot drive and start a fresh install but that is such a big job when its just this one aspect that is not working correctly. any help or suggestions welcome. i attached a screen shot, bridge is displaying the colour correctly, as is photoshop, but camera raw is dark and muddy, not displaying correctly. it has been the same with many different cameras raw files from canon, nikon and sony.

There have been issues with Radeon cards since macOS Sonoma, I'm not seeing them now on a 2019 MacBook Pro with Tahoe but that could be the problem for you.
