Camera RAW edits not carrying over in Photoshop

Hello!

My workflow involves opening multiple files in Camera RAW, making some edits, then opening them as layers in Photoshop.

For the past few months I have been having an issue where the edits done in ACR do not carry over into Photoshop; forcing me to have to do the edits over again by opening each layer in ACR from Photoshop.

This only happens when closing ACR and opening as layers from Bridge. If I open directly from ACR, the files contain the initial edits. Unfortunately there is no way to open as layers from ACR

I've been on the phone with support on multiple occasions with no solution, and RESETTING PREFERENCES DOES NOT WORK!

At one point, after updating Photoshop all seemed to be fine. However this week, the same version started acting up again. I just installed the latest update to no avail.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated since it has slowed my work down considerably

I am on a 2019 iMac IOS Monterey v 12.1 / PS v 23.2.2 / ACR 14.2.0.1028 / Bridge 12.0.1.246

Thanks!

George

An update on this issue.

I went into Camera RAW Preferences. Under file handling, disabled tiff support. I then clicked ok. Reopened RAW preferences, file handling and changed tiff handling setting to "Automatically open tiffs with settings" and it now works as expected.  I'm not sure if this fix will last but will continue testing.
