A little perplexed with why PS 26.8.0 is able to run graphics processor and Camera Raw is giving an error; Graphics Accceleration Disabled Due to Error.

What is the error?

Latest NVIDIA Studio driver is installed 576.80

Thanks

Thanks guys;

In frankness not sure if the problem is remedied.

I walked through the ACR Troubleshooting link you sent.

Unable to find anything unusal in the reports. I deleted the ACR log files and tried it again. I was able to run ACR after this. I checked ACR performance preference and it now shows using full acceleration 8Gb

Not sure if the error below is of any significance?

Error: Unexpected re-entrancy in RedrawMonitor -- skipping ***

There are several of these errors repeating in the log.

There are also several warnings;

Warning: CRFormat obj accessed from Filter code. ***

Last line: CRFilmStrip::ClearAllSavedManualNRSettings

On second run of ACR almost the same, except last line.

TrimFootprint: 503.6 MB purged from pools.

I ran ACR purge last night to clear. Not sure where it purged this huge log jam.

In any case appreciate the information and now I know where to look in the future.

Hey, @westdr1dw. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.

Great suggestions by @Glenn 8675309 and @Jeff Arola

Try these steps:

Clear the GPU info & Logs location on Windows is %APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw. A shortcut to get to this folder on Windows is:

  • Press the Windows + R
  • Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw

  • Rename the GPU & Logs folder in this directory by adding .old at the end. (GPU.old & Logs.old)
  • Launch Photoshop & Camera Raw again.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Thanks, thought I had provided an update a couple weeks ago. Once I removed the log files I restarted and ACR issue was resolved.

You can see if anything here helps and more specifically first try

6. Check and delete the TempDisableGPU3 or TempDisableGPU2 files

Roll back to the previous Nvidia driver- see if that works.

Here's a step-by-step guide:
    1. Open Device Manager: Press the Windows key + X and select "Device Manager".

    2. Locate your NVIDIA GPU: Expand "Display adapters", right-click on your NVIDIA graphics card, and select "Properties".

    3. Access the Driver tab: In the Properties window, click on the "Driver" tab.

  • Roll back the driver: If available, click the "Roll Back Driver" button. Choose a reason for rolling back and confirm.

  • Uninstall and reinstall (if rollback is unavailable): If the "Roll Back Driver" button is grayed out, you'll need to uninstall the current driver and install the older version you downloaded.

  • Uninstall: In the Driver tab, you can click "Uninstall device". You may also choose to delete the driver software for this device. Then restart your computer.

  •

  • Install older driver: Download the older driver version from NVIDIA's website. Follow the installation instructions provided with the driver.
