Camera Raw Importing Photos Sideways

My camera raw is up to date but every 2nd photo I open in Camera Raw is sideways. I have deleted preferences but nothing is helping. This has only started happening with the last two updates. I'm on a Mac OS Montery 12.6.3. Any thoughts anyone?

Have you tried rotating the photo in Bridge before you open it in Camera Raw?

I don't have your problem but I just tried this and any rotation I set in Bridge is preserved when opening in ACR.

Worth a try!

I'm editing in photoshop so I would have to reopen in bridge etc. It will take the same time as quiting photoshop but thank you. I may just have to reinstall Photoshop.

Is it possible there is some metadata in the raw that defines the rotation? Can you shoot an image after checking preferences on the camera and see if this might be the issue?

I'm working w jpgs, everything is fine for one or two, then I open another image in Camera Raw and it's sideway. I have to quit and reopen and then it is fine. MyCamera Raw preferences are marked to open images horizantally. Thanks for you r suggestion though.
