Camera Raw installation

Trying to install updated Camera Raw for my CS5 (current camera raw is not compatible with my Canon 6D).

I tried installing Camera Raw 9.9 and 9.5 and both said they were successful with installation, however, in Photoshop it still shows I have an old camera raw version.

I have tried quitting photoshop and restarting my mac, but camera raw still does not update in photoshop.

Help!

you can't update ps cs5 beyond 6.7.

either upgrade your ps or use the dng converters.

Thank you for your quick response.

I downloaded the appropriate DNG converter (7.3) and it downloaded and installed successfully.

Now what? When I try to open a Raw file, it still gives the same message.

I must be missing a step.
