Camera RAW / Lens Profile correction fails

I have worked for many years with  Camera RAW and used it to correct known lens defects based on profiles supplied by the manufacturer (Canon).  With the new 2023 Camera RAW when I select "Optics / Profile", I get an error message in small type: "Unable to load lens profile" and hence no correction.  The Setup selection is "Defailt".
