Camera Raw Presets saving wrong info

I've used Camera Raw Presets before with great success. They were very helpful to streamline my workflow. But recently ( PS v.26.11 and CRv.17.5.0.2318) when I save a preset it saves the wrong settings... For example I set exposure at +0.75, save a preset and the preset sets it at +0.25 or temperature: I set it at 5500 but it is changed to 2850 in the preset, etc. 

I can "Save Settings" as a work around.  Strangely this doesn't seem to do anything different than saving a preset, just seems more cumbersome.

I poked around for help, made sure my software was up to date and my presets are in the right folder, etc. 

If anyone can explain this mystery, I would be very appreciative.
