For some reason, a standard raw or smart image double clicked to access camera raw, or involking Filter - Camera raw, can take up to 20 seconds before the image appears and camera raw shows up.

Try resetting your ACR preferences, better?
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (MacOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

I have went into camera raw settings in photoshop, there is no such dialog to "delete the camera raw preferences". How do I contact support as a paying customer, this can't go on?
