Can't Preview CR2 (RAW) Images

I recently got a new MacBook Pro. Since transfering everything over from my old one I can't seem to preview CR2 (RAW) files. I use to be able to click on a CR2 files then hit the space bar to see a preview of the image. Now all I see is black in the window, see attached example. Can anyone help with this...?

This is a macOS issue, not an Adobe issue. QuickLook doesn't rely on Adobe for support.

Can you open these files in Preview or load them into Photos?

I'm not a Mac user, so I can't comment on this.

But I found this thread that might be helpful.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Thanks for that... I couldn't find a similar issue listed and I wasn't sure where to place it... my first time to post. I don't understand why I am paying Adobe and they don't offer an online support service.
