Question

Can't scroll up and down the image gallery when in the new "Crop and Expand" tab

MacOS, ACR 18.4.1

In the previous versions of ACR _before_ the new AI Expand tool, I could scroll up and down images on the left hand side gallery while in the “Crop and Expand” tab (just like in all the other tabs like in “Edit”, “Remove”, etc.) with arrow up and arrow down on the keyboard.

Now it’s not the case anymore.  I can’t scroll ONLY in “Crop and Expand.”  My guess is that the addition of AI Expand has broken or disabled the arrow key scroll feature.  Please fix.  Thanks.

Can you try command+up/down? I do not think this behaviour has changed. Arrow keys are used to nudge the crop rect without a KBSC.

Command + arrow key works!  Thanks, Krishna!

Just to generalize what Krishna said, adding the Command key enables image-to-image navigation any time the arrow key alone might have a different meaning that takes priority. In this case, the priority of the arrow key is to nudge the crop box as long as it’s active, but I’m sure you know of other similar situations. For example, if you’re editing an option’s value then the arrow key’s priority is to move the text cursor among the numbers, so it can’t move to the next/previous image…same solution, press Command+arrow instead.

If you also use Lightroom Classic, this same trick works in the same situations there too.
