Cannot Load RAW Images in Photoshop 2022 and 2023

Hey,

I cannot load more than ~2000 RAW files into Photoshop (2022 and 2023) at once whereas if I try in 2021 it works just fine (easily converted 10,000 photos at once many times).

A blank error message is shown and the app hangs. To reproduce, drag over 3000+ RAW files into PS and wait for the Camera Raw popup (or the blank error message). My RAW files are .ARW's from A7R4

I'm experiencing the same problem, it would be great to have this solved. Having to process in multiple batches is a pain to do.

Try resetting your ACR preferences, better?

Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (MacOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).

Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

Doesn't really work, worked on one of the 2022 builds but back to the same behaviour (I'm on the latest updated). Can we get a real fix for this?

ACR is perfect for our use case and it worked fine until version 2022+. Redirecting to another software is not a solution to the problem.

This type of high volume bulk processing is what Lightroom was born to do. It will be handeled infinitely more efficiently and much faster there. ACR is the wrong tool for the job.
