Cannot open CR3 files from Canon R6 Mark II in Camera Raw

Recently got a Canon R6 Mark II. Took some Raw images (CR3) and uploaded them to computer (Windows) via Bridge. Images do not appear in Bridge ... just icons ... and when I try to open them in Camera Raw (version 16.0), I can't: either the Open Camera Raw option is greyed out or I get the error message: "The Camera Raw settings could not be applied because there were no Camera Raw files selected or selected files were read-only". According to the file properties, they were not read-only and the Raw file(s) were definitely selected. Any ideas???
