Crop in Adobe Camera Raw 18.6 has become nightmare

When opening RAW in ACR and using Crop (C) tool from left or right of the image it actually starts moving the GUI rather than cropping the image, not sure what version this has been changed, but before i never had this issue, please make GUI have lock option so when cropping images it would never try to resize GUI

I understand there is way to aim and select the right resize tool but margin for aim is so little and its waste of time, GUI should be set up once for most people don’t need to constantly be able to resize the side bars of ACR GUI

    Thanks for explaining this. I understand the issue you’re describing: when using Crop near the left or right side of the image, the pointer can pick up the ACR panel divider instead of the crop boundary, causing the interface/panel width to resize when you intended to adjust the crop.

    I haven’t found an existing issue that exactly matches this Crop-versus-panel-resize interaction, so I’d like to gather a bit more information before we classify it as a regression.

    Could you please share:

    • A short screen recording showing the problem, including the pointer as you approach the left/right crop boundary.

    • Your operating system and display resolution/scaling.

    • Whether it happens on both the left and right sides, or primarily on the side adjacent to the ACR editing panel.

    • Whether it still happens when the image is set to Fit in View, with some space visible between the image/crop boundary and the side panels.

    You mentioned that this wasn’t a problem in an earlier version. If you happen to remember the last Camera Raw version where the same workflow was comfortable, that would also be very useful for comparing the interaction.
