CS6 won't open NEF files on my new Apple

Shot an assignment with my Nikon D600, Raw of course! Downloaded the card to my desk top, Files open as NEF but I can not open them in Photoshop!!!

What is going on, My Leica files open/

I'm on a time line and would like a quick response

Are you using any Nikon software to transfer files between camera and Photoshop? If so, try eliminating it.
