Dehaze Slider in ACR - Image Goes Black

Has anyone experienced the the image on the screen going completly black when you move the slider? No matter how much I move the slider, +1, +10, whatever, I can no longer see the image on the screen. Photoshop and ACR are both up to date and it doesn't matter what camera (or camera brand for that matter) I'm using.

First, try disabling GPU in the Preferences (Performance preferences). Any better?

If not, recalibrate and build a new ICC display profile, the old one might be corrupted.

If you are using software/hardware for this task, be sure the software is set to build a matrix not LUT profile, Version 2 not Version 4 profile.

If turning OFF GPU works, it's a GPU bug and you need to contact the manufacturer or find out if there's an updated driver for it. On the Mac, that's part of the OS update(s) so if this is the latest OS version, you may need to roll back a release.

I had the same problem. Restarting my computer solved the issue for me.

Same thing has just started happening here after latest Mac OS update (to Sonoma 14.1). Turning off Use Graphics Processor cures it, so presumably the OS update is the culprit. I don't fancy rolling back a release, so hopefully Apple will address it.

Try restarting your computer. That worked for me.
