DNG converter 10.2 installs but fails to open

Good morning,

For several weeks I have been trying (with Adobe DNG Convertor) to get
my pictures converted from my Nikon Coolpix B700  to DNG. I succeeded one
time but the other times he doesn’t find the images in the selected map, even
when the camera is connected to the computer with a cable.

I have installed the program also on a laptop (both Windows 10) but this
also didn’t work. On an Apple Macbook from a colleague I did succeed to
connect.

All the different Codec’s, which were advised by Nikon, are already
installed.

The program isn’t mentionded in the list of installed programs.

What should I do to get the program up and running? Cause otherwise I’m
only able to create pictures in JPEG.

    Try creating a folder in your desktop, copy the NEF files from the disk into the folder. (Do not use any other software to bring the images in). Launch Adobe DNG converter. Note that with the converter you need to select the specific ”folder” and not single files or it won’t work. Let me know if that helped!

    I would not recommend running the DNG converter with the camera connected, and it's also possible that it is not designed to be used that way.

    So copy the files to a folder on your computer first, the fastest and safest way is to use card reader.

    Then point the DNG converter to that folder. Do not try to select files to convert, the converter only works with folders, and will convert all raw files in the folder that you have selected.

    Note that the converter will convert copies of your raw files, so the originals will be untouched.

    Starting with version 10.3, the DNG converter now installs to Program Files.

    Previous versions were self-contained .exe files that did not appear in the list of installed programs.
