DNG Converter 13.4 - DNG backward compatibility version help!

Question

We have converted various RAW formats to DNG using DNG Converter version 13.4.0.872 -
the Adobe online guidance says backward compatibility is by default set to v1.6 but we are reading backward compatibility as v1.1 in the EXIFTOOL output on the converted DNG files – does anyone know why this is? Also, the DNG files are reading as version 1.4 in EXIFTOOL output. Should we expect these to be v1.6 DNG files, to match the supposed backward compatibility version?

So can I ask, what version of DNG is created, by default, in v13.4.0.872?

And what is the default DNG backward compatibility version in v13.4.0.872?

Its all in the DNG namespace of the XMP data. Check Fine Info with Bridge or Photoshop.

I believe that backward compatibility varies with camera model, older RAW files are openable in old versions of ACR.
