dng converter 'source folder does not contain any compatible raw files' - ummmm yes, it does

Question

I have searched and found nothing that helps.

Been using Raw converter for years on my imac. Works well.

Take the same files on the same SD card and copy to a folder on my macbook, using the SAME version of camera raw and ps, all updated, same settings, DOING EXACTLY WHAT I DO ON IMAC that works ok, but for some infuriating reason, Caera Raw tells me that same file does not exist in that same folder.

Someone PLEASE help! There MUST be someone experiencing the same problems

When using the DNG converter, you choose the FOLDER containing the raw files, but do not open the folder. If you open the folder then you will receive that message. The converter works at the folder level, and will convert all raw images within that folder.
