Eyedropper tool issue (white balance)

I have opened an image with a Color chart in it on Camera raw, and when I select the eyedropper tool (to adjust the white balance) what I get is the Hand tool, but not the eyedropper and cannot select the correct grey I want.

It also happens when I select the Color Sampler tool.

Is there any issue or bug on the system? Do I need to reset something?

By the way, my computer is a MacBook Pro with Retina Display.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Moved to the Camera Raw forum, from the Photoshop forum.

I have an issue that may be related. When I use the color sampler in Camera Raw the screen zooms in to a smaller section of the image, but the color temp does not change. Is this related to a software update or this a glitch?

This is a long shot, but by chance is your Space Bar sticking?  Holding down the Space Bar is the quick method for accessing the Hand Tool.
