Geting L*a*b* readouts in ACR stand alone just like in Lightroom

In the Lightroom version of ACR there is the ability to get L*a*b* readouts (Dev module: in addition or instead of RGB) could it be possible to implement the same functionality in the stand alone version of ACR (the one used inside Br and Ps)? It will be very usedful and would allow to do the same measurments and color adjustments without having to be inside the Lr catalog system. I hope people find this suggestion useful and also hope that the implementation is a simple one since (to my understanding) the architecture of ACR and Lr Dev module is very similar.
