How can I update which RAW files Elements 12 will import?

I want to import and work with the RAW from my Sony a6000. It says it can’t import this version. How do I update so it will import these?

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility

The A6000 was first supported in Camera Raw 8.4 which is compatible with Elements 12. Eleents 12 shipped with Camera Raw 8.1 so you'll need to update.

Update the Camera Raw plug-in in your version of Elements via Help > Updates.
