In Bridge, while working with Adobe Camera Raw, you can go to develop settings and choose to clear settings and thereafter the raw file reverts back to its native state. Fine.
In Bridge View settings, I have it set to show the .xmp metadata files.
What if you want to rejoin a .xmp metadata file to a raw file. Is that possible? How do you do it?
One raw image file can only have one XMP sidecar file (unless you copy one out to a backup ), and if you clear settings (Revert to default), then the XMP sidecar file is updated to show the 'Default' edits. It has changed with the edit!
So there is no option to "rejoin an XMP file" and restore previous edits. (unless you restore the 'backup' version of the XMP!)
