How to undo automatic adjustments after selecting sky in Adobe Camera Raw and keep the selection?

When I select the sky in Adobe Camera Raw (v. 17.3, Windows 11, 23H2 latest version), automatic adjustemts are applied. Often I do not like them but would want delete the automatic adjustments and do what I intended instead. Is there an easy way to undo the automatic adjustments, keeping the selection and start all over with the adjustment?

I have the same versions of ACR and Windows.

This does not occur on my system.

i.e. Select Sky, a mask is generated, no adjustments are applied. I am free to make my own using whichever sliders I require.

You might try resetting your Camera Raw Preferences.

Thank you, that fixed it!

Thought it was a feature of v.17.3 bacause the behaviour started with the update.
