Question

I used to be able to open camera raw from bridge by double clicking the jpg. image, now, it doesn't work even though I have it checked in general/preferences

If I double, click of a jpg. That I’ve already edited, it will open camera raw. But not a new jpg. I have the box clicked where it says double click opens camera raw. There is no error message.

“If you want to double–click JPEGs and have them automatically open in Camera Raw, go to the Adobe Bridge CC menu (Mac) or Edit menu (Windows) and choose Camera Raw Preferences. In the JPEG menu near the bottom, choose Automatically open all supported JPEGs.” I had open supported files, didn’t have the ALL supported files box chosen.  Every answer I got was to make sure the double click option was checked in the ‘general’ menu. (note to Adobe; take the effort to look into what the person is describing.) Thank you to the people on this forum too! ~ Steve

Look in Camera Raw Preferences under File Handling>File Format Handling and ensure that you enable "Automatically open all supported JPEGs", that is the bottom one of the three options, not the middle one (sounds like that is the one you have set).
