Is Camera Raw 12.0 buggy?

I just updated the Camera Raw 12.0. Now Photoshop won't open selected jpegs and RAW Files.

Is this a bug? Do I need to update to Photoshop CC 21 for this? As of now I cannot update it because it is not compatible to Mac OS 10.12.6. The next available update is Mac OS Catalina.
