Issue with importing raw files made using the Tamron 18-400 lens with Canon R6

I have been working with Tamron on an issue regarding Raw files meade using the Tamron 18-400 ziim lens witht he Canon R6, The camera is set to use the crop factor. The lens & camera firmwares are up to date. When I bring a raw file into bridge and on into camera raw there is a white/light vignette around the image. This does not happen with any other app - only photoshop. and raw images. If I import the photo to other apps like ON1 Raw there is no vignetting. My prefernce has always been to use PS for photo processing. Any help will be appreciated. This does not happen with any other lens I sude with the R6 and the adapter.

Canon has proprietary tags for cropped photos, the embedded JPEG is also likely cropped while the actual RAW file is not. This isn't unusual. You'll just have to crop in ACR.

This problem was not caused by Canon or Tamron directly. It's a combination of issues that caused the vignette effect to appear when the Rawfile was brought into Photoshop. In camera raw you can go to Optics and uncheck the  profile corrections which is applied to the raw image automatically. You can also just reduce vignetting. At least there is a workaround so that I can continue to use a lens that I prefer for some situations. I have notified the person I've been workking with at Tamron and I thought I would let you know as well since you showed an interest in my problem..

Have you tried simply cropping the image to the content area? That's all the camera is doing.

The photo is fine in the camera. If I bring it into other editing programs it's fine. If I shoot a jpeg there is no issue. It's only when I shoot raw & bring it into Photoshop that I get the vignette effect, I did already try your idea by the way - thanks for the thought.
