Question

Managing ACR presets

Hi folks,it feels wierd but something that should be very easy is not.

Is there still a way to load XMP presets into ACR and show them as a separate folder instead of accessing them from the User Presets folder in Acr?

I tried both loading them from Acr and pasting them in the Settings folder (osx).

Thanks.

If you are referring to a 'folder' of Presets you probably mean a 'Group' (other than the 'User' group.)

You can paste them in the {Settings} folder in Mac Finder, BUT the 'Group' that a preset appears in with ACR- is controlled by info within the preset .XMP file. Also Develop Presets have an 'Internal' preset name that appears in the Preset panel and may not be the same as the Filename of the .XMP in Finder.

You can create a new Group (parent 'folder') when you create a preset in ACR, then you can 'Move' presets to a different group -[Right-Click] a preset for the context menu.

This Forum link is for Lightroom-Classic, but similar for ACR-
