Open Camera raw from bridge

When I'm in Bridge and going to "open Camera Raw" for a NEF file, the image freezes and I can't do anything. I have to override and force Bridge to exit through the taskbar. I have updated, downloaded many times and tried the tips online with no success. Help!

I like to edit NEF files in the Camera Raw function.
