P: Camera-Matching Profiles: Requests and information

  • March 6, 2020

  • 63314 views

Camera-matching Profiles are applicable to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem products (Desktop, Mobile, and Web).

Note: Not all cameras will receive camera-matching profiles.

This thread is a place to request missing camera-matching profiles for specific models. Please include a complete camera model designation and a list of the specific camera-matching profiles you are requesting in your request. If your camera is already listed in this thread, please reply to the specific camera’s post rather than just posting in-line.

Camera-matching profiles are provided for some camera manufacturers and models. As raw support is added for individual camera models, camera-matching profiles for some cameras may be added when raw support is initially offered.  Other cameras may see camera-matching profiles added at a later date. It is also possible that a specific camera may see a long delay or perhaps not ever receive a specific camera-matching profile.

Note:

ETAs for camera-matching profiles are not available. New feature announcements are only made after support is added.

Hi,

Sony has added a new picture profile (creative look) called FL2 to their newest camera models as well as to the Sony A9M3 and some other cameras via firmware updates. This picture profile is missing for the Sony A9M3 and some other supported Sony cameras in Lightroom.  I noticed it does exist for the Sony DSC-RX1RM3 and the FX2 in Lightroom, so Adobe has done the profiling for these cameras.

My request is to add this profile to all Sony cameras that support it, such as the Sony A9M3.

Thank you!

cheers, Matthias

I just downloaded Lightroom Classic 18.2 and Camera Raw 18.2. How is there still no Camera Profile for the Sony a7V? It’s an extremely popular camera and has been out for months. We’re still stuck with a Beta camera profile and cannot edit photos shot in Compressed Raw. When will Adobe finally support this camera?

Camera matching profiles still not available - it's a joke for this kind of Money we pay for months -

I just downloaded Lightroom Classic 18.2 as well as camera raw. I’m shocked that there’s STILL no camera profile support for the Sony a7V. The camera has been out for over 2 months and we only have a Beta profile. That means users still can’t shoot anything but full Raw. The DNG converter doesn’t work with compressed Raws either.

When will this very popular camera finally be supported?

New Lightroom (v15) and ACR (v18) dropped today and STILL missing support for DJI Mavic 4 which was released in the spring.
This is so disappointing to pay so much money for the Adobe suite just to have them ignore my cameras.  Yeah plural, still waiting on NRAW support for my Nikon Z8 released 2 YEARS ago.

iPhone 17 Pro Raw photos on JpegXL lossy day "adobe standard missing" when I try to edit photos. I saw on another post that this usually happens when Lightroom has not been updated for the new cameras, but also noticed that this was not in the known issues as far as I could tell. I am on the newest version, 10.5.2. All my photos look super dark for now, though some end up having good results.

The Iphone 17 isn't yet on the supported-cameras list:

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Support for a new camera from a leading manufacturer typically comes in the LR release following the release of the camera or, less frequently, the second following release. A new version of the LR ecosystem comes out about every 8 weeks, and we might expect to see LR 15 in two weeks, the week of Adobe Max (10/28).

Meanwhile, set the profile to Color.

Recently, the Adobe profiles have disappeared from Lightroom. This affects macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.

Make sure that you are working with a Raw image. The Adobe camera profiles (Adobe Color, Adobe Landscape, Adobe Standard etc.) are only available for raw images, so do not appear in the profile list when an RGB image (Jpeg, Tiff, etc.) is selected.

Hi,

looks like the mentioned color profile is still not available. I used it quite a lot with the Mavic 3 classic.
Any idea if this will get published, or are users forced to use the adaptive color ?

Adaptive color worked for me on some landscape aerial pictures, but mostly pics got too dark/intense color.

Has anyone else had any issues with 'missing profiles' on Lightroom Mobile since updating to iPhone 17 Pro Max?

@Anthony Lockton

The iPhone 17 devices just released.  Please look for support for these new devices in an upcoming LR app update.

Any idea when Adobe might release all the profiles for RAW (DNG) photos taken using Pixel 10?  When I open DNG in Photoshop Camera Raw, the only profiles that are available are "Google Pixel" and "Adaptive Color". All the other typical profiles such as Landscape, Portrait,  Standard, Vivid etc do not show up. The "Google Pixel" profile has a very washed out look and it doesn't improve even after basic editing.

Thanks.

The Pixel 10 is not yet supported by the LR ecosystem:

(I have no inside information on this, and Adobe never announces such things ahead of time.)

Just recently got a new phone. Now whenever I go to edit photos there's an error message: Adobe standard is not available on this device. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app multiple times. Nothing works. Is there anything I can do?

Hi, thanks for reaching out!

Could you share more information, like which phone you got and what's the format of the files that you're working on?

Thanks,
Nikunj

Hi! I just got a new iPhone 17, I think something happened during the transfer and removed the profile. The photos are in RAW/DNG format.
