P: Camera-Matching Profiles: Requests and information

  • March 6, 2020

Camera-matching Profiles are applicable to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem products (Desktop, Mobile, and Web).

Note: Not all cameras will receive camera-matching profiles.

This thread is a place to request missing camera-matching profiles for specific models. Please include a complete camera model designation and a list of the specific camera-matching profiles you are requesting in your request. If your camera is already listed in this thread, please reply to the specific camera’s post rather than just posting in-line.

Camera-matching profiles are provided for some camera manufacturers and models. As raw support is added for individual camera models, camera-matching profiles for some cameras may be added when raw support is initially offered.  Other cameras may see camera-matching profiles added at a later date. It is also possible that a specific camera may see a long delay or perhaps not ever receive a specific camera-matching profile.

Note:

ETAs for camera-matching profiles are not available. New feature announcements are only made after support is added.

So, can you tell me where to find the camera matching profiles for as SOny ax6000. It says raw is supported for ARW files, but my Photoshop CC wont open them from Bridge . Also, I used the dng converter and it still doesnt recognize the files.

I'm getting discouraged- JH

I enjoy taking ProRaw Pictures on my iPhone and then exporting them to Lightroom for editing. Specifically I like to use the Adobe Raw Profiles. However, since I've had the 16 pro max, I cannot access them. I will take a pro raw picture on my iPhone and import to Lightroom. Lightroom will show it as a DNG. However, when I go to profiles, these options do not exist. Has adobe not added support for these new cameras?

@James32555596oh2e: "I like to use the Adobe Raw Profiles. However, since I've had the 16 pro max, I cannot access them. "

Full LR / Camera Raw support for new cameras from major manufacturers is usually included in the release following the availability of the cameras, sometimes the release after. The next release is due mid-October, the next one 8 weeks after that.  Adobe rarely comments on dates.

Hello, I've been having an issue with my Lightroom mobile version since I upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Everytime I try to apply some of my presets I get the message "Adobe Standard is not available on this device". The same presets were working fine with my previous iPhone 14 Pro Max. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the issue persists. Any ideas how to get this fixed?

Hi All,

I only shoot in RAW on my iPhone utilizing all three lenses. I am looking for the "Adobe Standard" profiles for this camera series. Does anyone know how long it takes for Adobe to create these and offer this update? I like to create my own linear profiles for these lenses. However, first I need the "Adobe Standard" profile to be able to do this.

Thanks!
Dwight

Hi Shivani,

Thanks for the link. This still does not address when the iPhone 16 Pro Max "Standard Profiles" will be released by Adobe. Still curious about this.

Thanks!

No one knows, except the few people who work for Adobe, and they are not allowed to say.

So, be patient and you will find out at the same time everyone else does.

Wow, it's not an unreasonable question so there's no need to be so chippy

LR classic 13.2, MacOS, Nikon Z8 raw files

With the latest firmware update for the Nikon Z8, Nikon added "Rich tone portrait" as well as a few additional black and white profiles.  However, rich tone portrait is missing from the color matching profiles.  Rich tone portrait IS present when using the ZF so it exists.

Perhaps an update?

thank you!

Fujifilm x100vi should have 20 camera profiles available in LR, but only 16 are available both in Cloud and Classic. For example Classic Negative and Nostalgic negative are missing from the latest LR versions (v7.2 and v13.2) for x100vi. See the manual for full list of camera profiles (film simulations) https://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x100vi/menu_shooting/image_quality_setting/#film_simulation&gsc.tab=0

Camera profiles in Lightroom are not copies of the manufacturer profiles, but Adobe profiles designed to mimic those manufacturer profiles. That means that Adobe can decide not to provide a mimic copy of all of them for whatever reason.
