I can confirm this behaviour but it does not require multiple images to be opened in Camera Raw. I see ths behaviour with a single image.

Correct, I wrote the initial notes of the bug in the middle of an on going work project and forgot to update it fully afterwards.

It was later that I stumbled upon the Reset button effect.
I still can’t workout what triggers the Level section to initially vanish, other than working with multiple images and jumping in and out of the crop tool on each image?

Currently the only workarounds are;

Close the image and Re-open it. (Annoying when editing multiple images).
Change the Edit Panel Behaviour settings (Single, Responsive or multiple) but then the Reset Button behaviour becomes a problem.
Downgrade to previous version.

When editing multiple images at once, the Crop Panel hides Parts of the Geometry section or sometimes the Trim section.
The Panels seem to eat themselves.
I’m not sure what triggers it to start happening, but clicking the Reset button makes the panel start slide up underneath itself.

Open Image in Camera Raw.
Open Crop Panel (Make sure some sections are expanded).
Click the Reset Button or Keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + R)

You will see panel start sliding up and begin to vanish (Images Attached).

1st Image is Default Panel vs How the Level Options go missing.

2nd Image shows how the panel slides up after repeatedly clicking the Reset button.

I’m able to reproduce the issue on the Windows side with Windows 11, Photoshop 2026 (ps ver 27.9.1)

and camera Raw 18.6.

Not able to reproduce the issue on any Mac i’ve tried with Photoshop 2026 (ps ver 27.10) and Camera Raw 18.6.

@Sameer K Given Jeff's findings that this is Windows only can it be moved back to 'bugs'.

I was going to say I could not reproduce this, until I revealed the ‘Trim’ option. Then I got the same impact as your video clicking the ‘Enable Expand’ checkbox gradually moved the Geometry options upwards, covering the Trim option and eventually covering the geometry sliders.
It looks like a UI bug in Camera Raw.

I am using Camera Raw 18.6 on Windows 11 with an NVidia RTX3090 GPU

Thanks for helping speed this up, @davescm. I couldn't reproduce this on macOS. Could you share a numbered series of steps, or a longer video showing the behavior?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a raw image in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR not the CR filter)
2. From the toolbar at the right, select crop and expand.
3. Make sure that both Trim and Geometry sections are revealed (using the reveal arrows)
4. Repeatedly check and uncheck the Enable Expand checkbox

Result : At each click of the checkbox, the Geometry section moves upward, first covering the Trim section then collapsing until the sliders in Geometry are no longer visible.
The only way I could find to get them back was to close camera raw and re-open it.

Note : If the Trim section is closed rather than revealed, then this UI problem does not occur.
