P: Distraction Removal: People (CR & LrClassic)

used remove distracting people tool the person it detected was replaced by another person????

I tried using it but its not working

Using Lightroom or Photoshop, the system does not recognize people in the photo.  In one photo, there is one adult and 5 children in the foregound and numerous people in the background.  The system doesn't recognize any of them. It only picks up the elbow of someone on the edge of the photo. When trying different edit options, it also creates weird looking figures. In another photo, it recognizes a few people, removes them and then fills some of the area with something irrelevant. Usually, this is failing badly. 

It's changing the FACES OF BABIES in parent's arms.  This is atrocious and disturbing.

The tool occasionally replaces people with an object instead of blanding in with the background. How do you avoid this? Other times works well

When people detection misses some people would be good to have an ADD/Brush feature. WE can subtract people by usng the pins but we cannot add. That would be most useful if we could

Tried this new (to me!) version of the people removal in LRC today. I liked the older version where you had to select the people to remove. I thought it usually worked well, although sometimes the people were replaced with something else. This automatic version failed to remove some of the people The ones it did remove, were removed well. All of the people were at a considerable distance in the Namibian landscape of Dead Vlei in Sossusvlei.

If you are trying to remove distracting people, then why does it add a different person? That doesn't work.
And why can't you edit the area it selects?
And why can't you choose more than once?
I go back to spot removal most the time.

We should be able to edit/tweek the auto mask. Because it often misses in the borders and i just want to remove the mask on those areas.
