Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting People

Under the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”.

This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. Please try it out and let us know what works well, what doesn’t work well, and anything that might improve the experience.

It removed the distracting person with a more distracting mutilated human shaped thing🤣

I did finally get a good background person distraction removal, but I could not use it. The automatically selected mask of the distraction did not allow for mask editing. The mask overlapped the main subjects ¾ face profile and could not recreate a believable facial edge. Still impressive, but I would love to edit the selection before the generation.

Suggest option to remove any of the foreground people too, not just background people.

It still has issues with some shapes, especially if the contrast is not good, but there is no straightforward way to refine the mask

When I try to remove distracting elements (people) from an image in cameraraw, I get a massage that an unexpected error occured and that the request cannot be honoured. I recently updated to PS 27.4 and Camera Raw 18.2! Request your attention!

Two people in a photo, it picked one and removed. Did not remove 2nd person.

Yes, how do we add additional people when the system doesn't select them or fully select some of its choices. I know how to remove but can't figure out how to add
