P: Issue with Nikon lens profiles not working correctly

I was able to take a new set using just the white wall without any extraneous lights on (all with the Z7ii)

Z7ii FTZ adapter to F-Mount Sigma 24-70 2.8 A @ 70mm

Z7ii with no adapter, Z-Mount Nikkor 24-70/4 S @ 50 mm

When I open these files in ACR, the automatically applied profile is not fixing the vignetting at all, as it is not properly reading the built in profile. I can't really tell how much, if anything, it is doing here, I just know it's far less than it should be. When I select custom profile, there is no matching lens for the Nikkor 24-70/4 S (nor any other of the Z-mount lenses), so adobe automatically chooses 105mm lens. It is an improvement as a similar lens profile, but it is still not matching up properly at all. If I look at the sigma lens, which is a DSLR lens, I can manually select the right profile and it works fine. Even there, however, it claims to be automatically applying the proper profile, but it is not.

This is something that needs to be addressed as Nikon is moving towards the Z-mount cameras, and all of their Z-mount lenses are not matching to their profiles properly. There is some error in how ACR reads profile information in the raw file of mirrorless cameras. If you read online Nikon community message boards, this is a massive and known problem. People have tried all sorts of work arounds, but it is a ton of extra work for mediocre to poor results.

You can see that with D810 we have ability to apply camera lens correction, and with Z7 profile is always applied. The important thing is that vignetting is not properly fixed with the Z mount lenses.

I realize that lighting condition are not perfect here, so let me know if it would be greatly helpful for me to improve the environment for a more even picture if the vignetting is not clear. I can change which zoom I'm using and fix the dark side on the left when I have more time this weekend if you would like it to be more obvious.
