P: The same file can be opened simultaneously in Bridge-hosted ACR and PS-hosted ACR

This may be by design, not sure. I discovered accidentally that if Bridge is set to open ACR on double-click and Photoshop is set as default for RAW files, that a file can be first opened into ACR in Photoshop, then opened again in ACR with Bridge.

1. Right-click->Open a RAW file in Bridge, ACR launches in Photoshop and loads RAW file

2. Switch back to Bridge and double-click the same RAW file, ACR launches in Bridge and loads the same file

I didn't do any testing because I'm not sure if ACR is re-entrant by design or if I was risking corruption of the XMP file or ACR preferences. Expected behavior is for ACR to only launch once, either in Photoshop or Bridge.

Windows 10 Pro, Bridge 12.0, ACR 14.0.1, Photoshop 22.5.3

This is as-designed behavior although not recommended to open the exact same file at the same time from two different ACR hosts.

Bridge and separately Photoshop have been able to each host ACR for many years.
