Question

Photoshop/ Camera Raw suddenly opening Images in batches?

Hi all,

I have a bizzare one! I am trying to open a set in Photoshop to process tabout 50 RAW files and for some reason it is opening (12) images first- then the rest in a second batch. The (12) aren't sequentially first in the set and are randomly pulled from throughout it so I can't just start there and edit the reminaing images later. It's not happening with every set so I am really confused and definitely need to fix this! Camera Raw and PS are up to date- images are being dragged in from Photo Mechanic and were shot tethered in Capture One if this makes any difference!

Thanks!

Can't hurt; Try a Reset of the Camera Raw preferences:
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (macOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

So I think this set must be haunted. I tried that and restarted PS. This time the CR opened the larger amount of images first and the (12 ) in the next batch. They are all tagged/color class the same in Photomechanic, all shot on the same camera, at the same time, no other rating system employed...really scratching my head.
