Photoshop is freezing when trying to open CR3 files

Hi,

I am using the latest Photoshop (26.4.1 20250225.r.194 4c5f14b x64) version with camera raw v17.2, and when trying to open any Cr3 file, the app freezes. I have tried to reboot my computer, reinstalled photoshop several times, used creative cloud fix tool and tried to run user-diagnostics plugin to figure the problem out, but nothing worked.

Any clue of what I can do? I've spent over 2 hours on this issue already.

I did the reset suggested by Per Berntsen in this thread, and it worked. Solved: Unable to open .rw2 files that I have been able to... - Adobe Community - 15141569

It shouldn't be this hard to solve this, but at least it's working now.

I also reintalled the latest version from camera raw, downloading it directly from adobes website.
