Version: latest
PC - OS: Windows 11 home
Device name LAPTOP-ESAOO9EV
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.85 GB usable)

Two screens via ThinkPad docking

Hello,

I am having crashes in photoshop every time I touch camera raw. I really want to  edit layer by layer and until today I had an error message when opening camera raw with ctrl + shift + a about the an error with the graphics processor.

I fixed this by ncreasing the cache to 10gb for camera raw. However the same thing still happens as I exit camera raw window - photoshop bugs out and stops showing my project (see attachment)

Under GPU compability everything is OK. I have restarted, updated and tested everything I can find online.

Any ideas as to why it crashes every time? Thanks.

When Photoshop crashes, this is the first thing to do, try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings. You can also reset preferences upon a quit if Photoshop is running by going into General Preferences>General>Reset on Quit.

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.

This action only affects the items found in the preferences dialog box. Numerous program settings are stored in the Adobe Photoshop Preferences file, including general display options, file-saving options, performance options, cursor options, transparency options, type options, and options for plug‑ins and scratch disks. Brushes (and lots of other setting) are not affected by the above instructions for deleting preferences. You may wish to make a screen capture of the settings in the Preferences dialog to reset them prior to deleting of this file.

Also try resetting your ACR preferences, better?
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (MacOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

Hello,

I did both. I think matters are only worse now honestly. Whatever happens in the screenshot didnt happen before the reset. And Camera Raw sends me into this kaleidoscope problem again.

I did change some settings to fix this error earlier in another thread, should I reenable those?

Try to re-enable or roll back a few versions and test.
You want to go back to previous versions?

In Adobe Creative Cloud, select PS, click on the three dots and select "Other Versions".
