Hello ,

getting slowly mad and need help.

Do have PSE 15 and changed camera from Nikon D90 to Sony alpha 6600.

PSE is 15.0 ( windows user ). No problem with .nef extension for my nikon, even with the newest camera raw 13.1 still can not open it.

PSE 15 is installed on 😧

Under C:/Programme/Commonfiles/Adobe/Plugins/Elements15/fileformat is one file "cameraraw", which is oldand  its Typ 8BI. Just writing as maybe this is not correct.

I also installed 12.4 and 12.2 camera raw adapter but same result.

Application was always closed and did an restart.

Would be great if someone can help me.

Thanks

Richard

Facts-

1) Photoshop Elements 15 can only support Camera Raw versions up to v9.10

https://helpx.adobe.com/au/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html

2) The Sony A6600 requires a minimum CR version 12.0

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

3) You have two (or three) choices-

a. Upgrade your version of Photoshop Elements to v2021

b. Use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert your sony raw files to the DNG raw format.

DNG CONVERTER

c. Use software provided by Sony to edit the raw files and save to TIFF (or JPG?)
