Purple Bars on Raw File After Transfer

Hello, recently I'm getting a few of these, in no order or pattern it seems, just on occasion, but ruining multiple images.

 

I'm shooting Sony raw, and transfering from my SD card onto a G-drive. Then after opening the file in Camera Raw from the harddrive, this purple bar is appearing. If I go and open the image from the SD card, it's gone, so something is happening in the transfer. Someone I transfer the files and don't really look at them, end up formatting my card, and then am stuck with this.

 

Can anyone help?

Issues like this usually distill to hardware - cable, card reader, card, port, memory, drive.  Additionally, jostling the connections during the download can result in bad data transfer.
