Raw converter loads all files (uncorrupted and checked) as lines (ish)

So, i have been using this version of bridge/photoshop and the converter without issue.  Indeed i used it yesterday.  However i updated windows 10 today and now when i try to ope a raw file it comes up as lots of horizontal lines.  I also tried on older files which i have used succesfully before.  Help??
