Question

RAW opening in Photoshop even when edit in Bridge is selected

Got updated to the new Camera Raw so I upgraded back to 12.2.1. Unfortunately, double clicking raw files in Bridge now opens them in Photoshop even though Double-Click Edits Camera Raw Settings in Bridge is selected. Any ideas how to fix this?

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the preferences file is corrupted. To reset it, immediately after Bridge starts hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (macOS), and select Reset Preferences in the dialog box that appears. Then set your preferences again and see if it works right after that.

A workaround is to use the File > Open in Camera Raw command instead, because that never opens a raw file in Photoshop. To skip the mouse you can just press the command’s keyboard shortcut, Ctrl-R (Windows) or Command-R (macOS).

Well, things went from bad to worse. Deleting preferences didn't help and I then noticed File > Open in Camera Raw was greyed out and I accidentally updated Bridge. Long story short I was able to download Bridge 10.0 (but not the 10.0.4.157 I was using before) and I can get things done again. Thanks for the help.
