seek version of ACR just prior to 17.4?

my 6-yr-old Lenovo Yoga P40 graphics card couldn't handle
ACR 17.4, DNGs did not show as thumbnails & more;
I was given link to ACR 14.5 & installed which solved issue;
https://adobe.ly/4ez9i10
But 14.5 has no Denoise AI, etc.  What was ACR version
just before 17.4 & is there link to installing its app?
Or at least something later than 14.5?
Adobe tech advised me to post here...
Thanks in advance, any advice appreciated, I am not techie...

This is determined by your version of Photoshop. Which version are you running?

In Photoshop, click Help > About Photoshop.

1. you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

2. no other versions are available unless you contact an employee via social media.

thanks for response;
I see no "Preferences" under File, as in, File > Preferences;
I do see Edit > Preferences
so I must be confused by what you advised...?

My current version is PS is 26.8.1
I am able to use ACR 14.5 with it.
I am not able to use ACR 17.4 with it.
(DNGs will not appear as thumbnails & processing panels will not appear)
But I want to try ACR version just prior to 17.4 because
my Lenovo handled those versions without issue...

Yes, I pay $9.99/mo & have Adobe account.
Thanks in advance.  regards.
