Unable to Rename Profiles in Camera Raw or Restore a Deleted Profile

Hi, 

After trying to figure out how to rename a camera matching profile in Lightroom, I attempted to do so in Camera Raw instead. 

I am using the latest version of Photoshop and Mac OS and have 2 issues now:

First, I am unable to rename the profiles. 

If I open a raw file in Camera Raw, and click on the profile, I can see a section for "Camera Matching" profiles. If I right-click on the images, even when pushing on "option" there is no option to rename an individual profile. But, if I right-click on the "camera matching" header, I see an option for "Rename profile group." 

I don't know if this option would help me rename a profile, because clicking on "rename profile group" does nothing. No popup window opens at all. Nothing happens. 

Also, this seems to create a bug, which is that after I click on the option button, NONE of the other options (manage profiles, import profiles and presets, etc.) work. 

I must completely close Photoshop and reopen it for those options to start working again. 

Is there a way to easily rename a camera matching profile so that the full name appears instead of being cut off? I just want to shorten the name so I can read the profile.

Do I have to import these one at a time to edit individual profiles instead of having a profile group?

This brings me to the second issue that I encountered:

I tried to manually shorten the name of one of the profiles (Camera Faithful) using BBEdit. however, the name never updated in Lightroom, even after restarting. 

So, I tried to delete that profile and reimport it. However, I cannot get the deleted profile to show up in Camera Raw anymore. 

After deleting, which was easy, I went to Profile ==>Import Profiles and Presets.

However, the profile that I deleted is grayed out in the "CameraProfiles" folder as well as the "Imported" folder. I tried deleting the file from the "Imported" folder but it still remains grayed out under "CameraProfiles".

Why can't I view a profile again after it has been deleted and even renamed? How can it be so easy to delete something but then impossible to restore it?

In case it matters, Lightroom is closed during these steps so it is not in the "develop" module, which I read can interfere with profile actions in photoshop/camera raw.
