Vertical Transform Adjustment becomes horizontal when applied from Previous

Camera Raw 15, Bridge 13.01.583. Mac M1.  OS Montery 12.6.1

Today I noticed that after making a vertical geometry correction in ACR and then appling it to another image (apply previous conversion), it changes it into an horizontal correction instead.
