Very soon, but like all non manufacturers raw converters, you must wait for each company to first get access to a new proprietary raw, then figure out needlessly how to decode it. Tell Nikon you don't like having to wait and they should either document their raws or at the very least, provide them to any 3rd party raw software company so they can get a head start on this process. Not an issue with the JPEG of course, openly documented. 

Proprietary raw = BAD!

It's a pretty safe bet that it will be supported in the next ACR update - although they probably want to get a Z7ii in there too.

 

New camera support takes time. Adobe get nothing from Nikon. They have to do what you did - buy a camera when it's available, shoot test images, then sit down and deconstruct the files, build profiles, etc.

 

This happens with clockwork regularity with every new camera model that comes on the market. You're not the first and you certainly won't be the last.
