Why can't I disable the built-in lens profile?

Question

When I use ACR with a NEF file from a Nikon D850 with a Nikkor lens I have the option of using or disabling the lens profile.

But when I use ACR with a NEF file from a Nikon Z 8 and a Nikkor Z lens, the built-in lens proflie is applied autmatically and I have no option to disable, or not use, that lens profile.

Why is that?

I have often toggled the lens profile off and on to compare the differences (for the D850). I find the built-in lens proifle for my Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 lens does not handle vignetting as well as I would like. And the manual vignetting adjustments do not always yeild a good result. Or maybe I don't know how to use them properly.

probably some part of Adobe w/ Nikon agreement for Z-mount optics correction... instead of NEF -> ACR you can use NEF -> N-Tranformer ( output to linear DNG with selected optices corrections embedded as DNG tags ) -> ACR ... and if you want non-linear DNG for ACR then you can use a bit more complicated approach NEF -> N-Transformer -> linear DNG w/ optics corrections as DNG tags, NEF -> Adobe DNG Converter -> non linear DNG, exiftool to transfer optics corrections tags to from linear DNG (from N-Transformer) to non-linear DNG ( from Adobe DNG converter) and then feed non linear DNG to ACR and clean up... can be done in script
